History
In December 2022, a small team of developers, operating under the name GameSqule, embarked on a journey to create their very first Roblox game. After brainstorming various concepts the team settled on a classic tycoon genre. Drawing inspiration from the oil industry, they decided that the black gold would be the central item to produce and sell. This idea laid the groundwork for what would soon become their debut title, “Desert Oil Tycoon.”
The game’s development proved to be a pivotal moment for GameSqule. The initial launch of “Desert Oil Tycoon” was, after a slow start, a resounding success. At the peak the game attracted 2.5K concurrent players and already had over 5M visitors in total. The game’s strong performance and positive reception provided the crucial validation and motivation needed for the team to take the next big step. The success of “Desert Oil Tycoon” wasn’t just a gaming milestone; it was the catalyst that led GameSqule to formally establish a real company, transforming their passion project into a professional endeavor and solidifying their place in the Roblox development space.
